This note explains what The White Majlis collects on this website, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

What we collect

When you join the waitlist we keep what you type into the form:

• your name
• your email address
• your role or specialty
• your mobile number

With it we keep the time you signed up, the language of the page you used, and the campaign tags in the link that brought you here, if there were any. We also keep your network (IP) address, the country and city it points to, your browser and device type, and the page you came from. We use this to count where signups come from, to tell real people from automated abuse, and to protect the form. A scrambled version of your address is also kept to limit how often one connection can sign up.

Why we collect it

To write to you about The White Majlis, starting with one confirmation email, and to understand who is interested and what they want from it. We do not sell your details or share them for anyone else's marketing.

Where it is kept

Your details are stored with third party service providers that host this website, hold its database and send its email. They process the information for us and only on our instructions.

Cookies and visit counts

We use analytics tools to count visits and see which pages and links are used. These tools may set cookies in your browser. The website also loads its typefaces from a third party service provider, which receives the kind of technical information every web request carries.

Your choices

You can ask us at any time to show you what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it and take you off the waitlist. Write to [email protected] from the address you signed up with.
